Power would be the most appropriate answer. That power that shows while you are alive that you have thanks to the lack of others. Given by others, oppressed, afraid, and sad. Faking happiness for the wealth of their masters. The power that gives momentary satisfaction when fear is received after each scream. Because there is always someone else who is more greedy and powerful, and there are also those who are not, but they are free. And true freedom is scary. That freedom comes from knowledge and magnanimity. And it is interesting because it is a power that transcends and impacts, causes admiration and generates extraordinary fear among greedy people who only know how to oppress and accumulate. Savor the words like savoring your lips and your skin. He thought about it while watching her still sleep. A little after ten in the morning. The night had been wonderfully intense. It could be more - he said to himself while drinking some water, he was amazed to see her sleeping. She smiled. His satisfaction and tranquility were fair and necessary after turbulent years. Her way of being, her words, and her silences made it seem like she was still suffering. And she was suspicious. But this morning, she seems to be free.
However, even though human common sense knows that greed is painful and unsustainable, it prevails. The answer to why is not given because the question is incorrect. It's not why but for whom. And greed, like another fateful human invention (but one that has been more permanent), blurs and dissolves between needs and avarice. Thanks to whom?. Fear and convenience guarantee silence and ignoring yet another response (and one that is obvious). He looked at that sea for the last time. The jungle and the mountains were already before him, and he knew he would never see them again. So it was. Years later, he tried to remember that moment and did not feel nostalgic. The high mountains had given him freedom, and as much as that time, he abandoned what was considered civilization for America. The new colonies on the coast and everything the mountains that crossed from the Caribbean to the Pole offered. No. I didn't remember the Caribbean anymore. Anyway, he had fallen in love with the Magdalena, and they had broken his heart and his faith on those beaches that separated him from the rest of the world yesterday. He understood, then, the meaning of the word yesterday. He smiled and felt wise. Further.
It is probable that humans think and feel what is necessary to break what oppresses and depresses them. But the problem with probabilities (and more so in social aspects) is that they depend on a decision and the impact that that decision has to transcend. Humans can continue to maintain the unsustainable for a time until resources and life are exhausted. It seems easy because it is common sense. But it is not. Even in the face of urgency and need. When she thought about her past and the last time she had felt that intensity, fear overcame her. But, feeling not only his lips but also his skin, his words, and his sex, she didn't see why she should stop. The equations were on the board, and he thought it best to concentrate on them. In the end, they were more difficult and important questions. The others, his, were, in theory, easy to understand and transcendent. He adjusted his glasses, gently took that board marker, and continued narrating the universe. If everything went well, he would write a story beyond the eleven possible dimensions on his skin, again at night."
