Belief

"Humans are always looking for who to believe in, to be able to blame, on the one hand, what they cannot understand or reach and on the other, to maintain hope. Who and not what, because someone is better than something. Actually, it is possible to talk with him, even if the conversation is with yourself. And why not with her? Of course, but it tends to be even more confusing. Understanding is not necessary to exist, but belief allows a person to live. Seeing her wondered if she was. Finally, he didn't feel that sensation the first time, but when he recognized her shine and her lips (which he wanted to kiss, even though he loved listening to her), that desire was more intense each time. A wonderful sunset. Feel her warm hands between yours and hear her laugh. She is a belief, not an apparition. But could she also see him as a believer?

Some say that when you stop believing, civilization has triumphed over humans. But others affirm that the massive belief depersonalizes the individual, then believe in what? Or what kind of believer? A personal belief can free humans, but totalitarian, extended, and displayed in population makes them slaves of a shared faith. A shared hope can liberate the people, but not mass faith, the history shows how the merry slaves are conglomerated in their misery for the benefit of a few. Sheba smiled at him for the first time. And for him, it was enough at that time for that night. It was infernally hot for a night in the mountains, and she reappeared in the midst of that terrible temperature. He could not remember the words nor the conversation that led them to dance together, feel his skin sweat, and share that rum. She, black, he, the fruit of Indians and whites and blacks. It could be all together at the same time, it didn't matter; that was the rest (and not the fruit) of those lands of plunder and pirates. A kiss, a little more, and his hands on her legs, a little more, and her lips on his neck. Shiba laughed out loud, her honey-colored eyes were just like his. There was no moon, but it was hellishly hot in the wild mountains.

In many lands of this world, need is combined with ambition. As well as belief with faith. And it's sad because it makes it difficult to understand and share, to have confidence. It is possible to feel the moment of passion and the immediate retribution before the prayers and excuses. Nowadays, that immediate retribution is sincere; yes, it is possible to believe in that orgasm and satisfaction without promises. There is no time to build an elaborate speech with all the phrases to organize reasons, excuses, and lies. The sensation becomes more sincere than the detailed reason for the belief. She didn't wait for him to kiss her; the excuse was her exotic femininity. She was no longer old enough to be begged for or swallow a wish. He didn't wait for her to bring her sex to her lips, but he did, and she, surprised, gave herself to him as she never did with any of her past lovers. Thursday, so many years desiring each other, and the history of the two intertwined in the Alps, the Andes, the Sahara, and Guajira And finally, alone, or almost alone, or at least him, that was enough.

Nonetheless, trust is given to those who believe in that someone, in that something equal, to those who do not have any belief. Not because of the absence of faith but because of the impossibility of hope. An impossibility of both reason and passion or even what is known as consciousness and (own) will. That could be what humanity does, the possibility of belief, without seeking to explain consciousness as a set of rules and the will for instructions. Believing is human. That night they made love several times. They both knew it was the last one, only for her, in the end, it was another one. It was not misogyny, it was the truth, and she was free to moan, have her orgasms, and others with whoever she wanted. For him, it was the same and even better according to society. But it was not the case because he loved her, and it was tough to think she did not. In his silence, it didn't really matter for the others, only for him."
