Natural Process, Human Decisions

"In these countries, when the rain arrives people said that winter is here. Actually, the rain and sun in the tropical areas of our planet is more or less irregular. And more, when the mountain chains and tropical forest are involved in climate process, the prediction and forecast jobs are complex.

Of course, climate changes due to global warming get worse the rainfall or drought, and the deforestation irresponsible cause terrible consequences and normally, governments and leaders react to serve victims without think in causes and in the long-term effects.

Funny, the most part of the people that think in the causes find all explications in religious terms (or esoteric reasons). The end of the times, next to 2012, God's wrath, Earth's revenge and others, are fantastic phrases to impress and frighten in the media. Clearly, among the lines several minds find the odd truth. However, this situation is not a question of true or false, it is a  question about facts. 

In my country, the fact is that here, there is no sustainable development. Cities grow where the Spanish  people left, near of the mines in geological instable places. Ancient buildings (like houses on stilts) were replaced by low cost concrete solutions (social interest?). The poor people ripping the mountains around the towns, causing deforestation... rich people too and the crops wiped out forests and certain crops are destroyed by cows. On the other hand, technology exists in the world to forecast, to disaster prevention and care, but it is not acquired. Scientific and technical research in our great problems (and simple problems) is necessary, however...

Natural processes related to climate are not isolated from the solar activity and our planet has had dramatic changes in its history. Humans have been in some of them, and usually we adapt to them. The responsibility of the dramatic consequences in our cities and populations is not of the nature, because we are responsible of the transformations and our settlements like civilization. Moreover, we are responsible to understand and predict our environment behavior. Is a human decision how act, what know and when take a decision. Same if is true that we are in the end of the times".
