Humanity Crisis

"Tuesday, people or the world was received the news about the terrible earthquake in Haiti. When I learn the news on the radio and after, when the first images shown on Internet, inevitably, some tears fell down my face. Not only, due to the magnitude of the tragedy, also because Haiti has a tragic history, result of the human fear for the people equality.

I don't write about the history of the first black nation. And the isolation generated by centuries for the "new sister republics" in America and the other nations in the world. But, in any case, when I see how the poorest countries are convicted to disaster, not only for the earthquake, nowadays there are several examples, it's easy to conclude that the principal crisis today, is the dehumanization.

Several months before, the main newspapers of the world promulgated the severe economic crisis and their consequences in the modern world development. Enterprises "delocalization" or closing, thousands of people without jobs, normally the workers placed in the lowest production scale... the most fragile people.

Only, humanitarian sentiment is triggered when the tragedy is explicit and thousands or millions of victims are exposed in our screens. When we hear their cries..., and moreover, when we think that we may be them. When people gather to mourn the dead desperately. Without think that they could visit him in life. It do smile with a little presence and not only to be a burden that only vacate a void.

Profit is not a human goal. The humanity crisis, the real problem now is that we have forgotten our humanity principles. The difference (and sometimes similarity) with the groups of the other earth species. Haitian people have been most guilty of the human forgetting that for the natural catastrophes. Although, the speed humanitarian reaction allow to treat the emergency, what about the development? What about the future?

Species evolve during catastrophic events. Nowadays, more than an opportunity to evolve, is an opportunity to remember our humanity. And a "communitarian" principle that alone we have gone nowhere. Human beings survive in groups, in family. Helping the weak, to move forward together... together".
