No More

"It is not so much the head, but those who follow him, in their stupidity. Humanity needs some type of authority to feel that security. Yes, one that not only restricts your liberty but also ensures that none others are free. Indeed, humans need the worst in the others, the same if everyone is wrong: that's what their stupidity is about. His imbecility. It is then, when reasoning, after frustration and that feeling of helplessness, that it is known (by those who are not stupid) that endurance is not the same as resistance. Now, it's about not holding on. No more. She did not understand or seek to do so because he had not insisted on her as he should have. But isn't insistence stubbornness? Everything that he thought he deserved, everything that he no longer felt in him, suddenly disappeared, and he realized, very late, that there are, like him, those who live and others who follow the rules of social life. That social thing told her that he should insist and she should reject his insistence until he felt weak enough or simply until someone else appeared. Four more men appeared in her legs, and that was when she realized that he merely said in the second try: no more. Why? Because he's free.

In some nations, it would be thought that greed is justified (or explained) by individual needs, frustrations, disappointments, and ambitions that are only fulfilled by that which oppresses them. But, there is a factor of arrogance and being an idiotic cretin. That excites him to think he is above those whose sense of humanity makes them seek common visions. But since they, the imbeciles, cannot think of community, they simply cancel any attempt. To show his supposed power. In those nations where the level of individualism (or in the groups in which the levels of supposed comfort and fear are so high), they achieve it. Thus, unless those who exchange endurance for resistance are revolutionaries, they are the best to leave. At the end of the day, those power games are for the mediocre. Mongui had guaranteed his supremacy enough that even those who could overthrow him were happy to do so. He had his dolphins ready and didn't need to elaborate words or speeches. After eight years, all the reality was idiotic to change something already entrenched in a culture, in a desire. Mongui, like every little emperor, knew that he could die in peace if that were the case: rich, with his name cleared by the press, with a submissive, frigid, and prayerful wife who puts up with anything, his angry temperament, his hypocrisy, his disloyalty. But above all, his mediocrity. That is why Mongui hated intellectuals and those who, with little effort, were much better than him. Well, they really were what they were: incredible people. Not the ones he paid for with his propaganda office.

Some manage to transcend all this, and in that transcendence, it is not to remain but to leave and elevate their influence to higher spheres that humans arrive without really longing for. This is important and truly impressive. Leaving, reaching those places and spaces where not only identity is shared but also, in the distance, it is considered a longing and memory, and not a burden and forgetfulness one has at one's side. Important and transcendent. At other times, they overthrew him. In other times, blood would stain the streets, not the fields, as now...- He said it, and when he said it, his companions felt the ice on their back, but that ice was because they shared that feeling of frustration and sadness. And it was not just because of apathy; equally, the empire would not allow any change. Not now, despite its decline. They appropriated the words and also the good reasons. No, even if any coherent action maintained its fallacious empire for a couple more years. They were so stupid that their destiny was in tremendous decline with all of humanity in its wake, and they would do nothing against it.

It can't be about steadiness. Resistance must also be leaving. Human beings have been taught to see supposed perseverance as something positive. Still, it becomes a terrible self-denial, so much so that it allows it to go against its own free humanity. But freedom, like so many other words today, has been transformed, and its value, its real meaning, has been lost, mainly because those who are imbeciles have appropriated them, giving them a new meaning.  Therefore, starting is going towards where the words are and what they mean, not where they are conveniently perceived. He had decided to finish that bottle of rum while watching the coast move away. Bye bye. "It was all," he told himself. And he did not feel sadness, but satisfaction, joy. Everything he lost was left there on that beach, in that jungle. And perhaps the sea would be the oblivion that he needed. He didn't even think again that he should have left five years ago, but pleasure and hope are easily combined in a land like this - he told himself. No more. No more."
